Stuart J. Udell Named President and CEO of Catapult Learning

Promotion Completes Company’s Transition Strategy

Catapult Learning, LLC, a leading provider of K-12 instructional intervention and professional learning services, announced today that Stuart J. Udell has been named the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. The appointment completes a transition strategy that began in October 2010, when Udell joined Catapult Learning as its Chief Operating Officer. Udell succeeds founder Stephen K. Freeman, who will remain at the company as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Udell joined Catapult Learning from The Princeton Review, where he served as President of Post Secondary Education. Udell also served as CEO of Penn Foster, a global leader in career-focused online learning, until December 2009, at which time the company was acquired by The Princeton Review. Prior to joining Penn Foster, Udell spent ten years with Kaplan, Inc., most recently as President of its K-12 division. In addition, Udell currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the National Dropout Prevention Center/Network (Clemson University), a position he’s held since 2009.
