BLOOMINGTON — During a season of rambunctious holiday parties and lively school concerts, children with emotional and intellectual disabilities can miss out on the fun.

Parents of students at High Road School — a private educational facility for children with physical, cognitive, emotional and behavioral issues — asked if administrators could put together a holiday party for the children.

The school, 1316 E. Empire St., did not disappoint.

On Thursday, 38 students and about 25 teachers spent the day dancing to festive music, painting ornaments and chatting with Santa Claus.
