Literacy First Conducts Leadership Seminar for North Carolina Principals
On Thursday February 2nd, 2012 Principals in North Carolina attended a seminar on leadership. The seminar was presented by Bill Blokker and Debbie Whitfill of Literacy First. The mission of Literacy First is to:
Develop teacher and leadership capacity to accelerate students’ reading achievement.
Literacy First believes a strong foundation in literacy is the key to academic success. Literacy First helps you help your students build that foundation. The results prove it: over 85% of schools that work with the Literacy First program meet or exceed AYP/state standards each year.
Experts from Catapult’s Literacy First program work hand-in-hand with you to develop the capacity of teachers and school leadership teams with our unique program of professional development, coaching, and instructional materials. Let us enable you to improve student performance, accelerate learning, and eliminate achievement gaps in reading and all content areas.
