The AchieveReading™ and AchieveMath™ PlusTech Programs were developed by Catapult Learning to incorporate three specific areas of instructional support that are proven to positively impact student progress.
First
Integrated, high quality educational hardware and software technology, when properly used and monitored by trained, qualified professionals, provides a powerful enhancement to Catapult Learning AchieveReading™ and AchieveMath™ teacher-led instruction.
Second
Students benefit tremendously when they have opportunities to interact directly with their teacher and their peers in a small group instructional setting.
Third
Individual tutoring at a student's instructional level is an effective way to ensure that new and previously taught concepts are understood and that each student experiences immediate success with appropriately leveled materials. Catapult Learning incorporates all of these components into the AchieveReading™ and AchieveMath™ PlusTech Programs.
Over the last twenty years, Catapult Learning has successfully paired the small group instruction of AchieveReading™ and AchieveMath™ Programs, led by qualified teachers, with carefully planned and monitored computer instruction. This instructional model has increased the reading achievement of thousands of students across the country. Instructional groupings are small enough to allow students to have a great deal of interaction with and attention from their teacher, and large enough to allow students to work cooperatively with and learn from their peers.
During computer instruction, students are monitored and encouraged by a trained lab technician who helps students take advantage of the added instructional modality and insures time on task. Skills taught in the regular classroom and in small groups are addressed on the computer, creating reinforcement and greater impact for the learner. All computer lessons are immediately scored and tracked. Careful monitoring of computer-generated performance reports allows Catapult Learning to continuously review student progress and make program modifications as needed.
The AchieveReading™ and AcheiveMath™ PlusTech Programs enable Catapult Learning to provide instruction in small groups, while doubling the capacity of the Catapult Learning Center and providing greater flexibility in scheduling. At any given time within an instructional hour, 6 students are working in small learning groups with their Catapult Learning teacher while another 6 students are seated at computers completing individualized lessons as they are monitored and encouraged by a lab technician.
When state-of-the-art PlusTech technology is paired with Catapult Learning's AchieveReading™ and AchieveMath™ Programs, the combination is powerful.
