Developing Expert Readers™
Students need to practice newfound literacy skills to gain a firm grasp of the concepts. The Literacy First Developing Expert Readers materials are out-of-the-box solutions designed to help students get that practice and to guide teachers in specific aspects of reading instruction.
The materials include assessment tools to understand each student’s instructional needs, lessons and activities for students, and lesson plans, multimedia, and other supporting materials for teachers. All Developing Expert Readers materials include on-site professional development to help teachers use the materials effectively, and can be used as part of the Literacy First process or on their own.
