High Intensity Tutoring

Harvard’s EdLabs and the Consortium for Policy Research in Education have highlighted a breakthrough strategy for tackling our persistent achievement gaps:  High Intensity Tutoring.

High Intensity Tutoring delivers significant doses of individualized instruction to struggling learners. Using a combination of your curriculum and our instructional strategies, skilled tutors work with students on filling skill gaps and mastering grade-level classroom objectives. Tutors serve as mentors and motivators to help build self confidence and instill a love of learning.

Tutoring sessions are delivered between two and five days per week at a 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 student-to-tutor ratio. Tutors monitor ongoing performance and assess formatively. Tutors also collaborate closely with classroom teachers and staff throughout the year to ensure they are reinforcing classroom skills and concepts.

Your students will benefit from a unique program that provides individualized intervention around identified skill gaps and that also supports the grade-level objectives currently being taught in the classroom.
