Stuart Udell
President and CEO

Stuart Udell joined Catapult Learning from The Princeton Review, where he served as President of Post-Secondary Education. He served as CEO of Penn Foster, a global leader in online learning, until December 2009, at which time the company was acquired by The Princeton Review. Stuart also spent ten years with Kaplan, Inc., most recently as President of its K-12 division. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the National Dropout Prevention Center/Network (Clemson University).  Prior, he served as division President at Renaissance Learning. He holds a BS from Bucknell University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Stephen Freeman
Executive Chairman, Board of Directors

In 1976, Stephen Freeman was a co-founder of the private and religious schools educational services business that was ultimately acquired by Sylvan Learning Systems in 1995 and later became Catapult Learning. His professional experience has focused on the development and management of educationally related services programs for nonpublic and public schools—spanning three decades. Steve is a school psychologist as well as a licensed clinical psychologist, and has practiced as both. He holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in School Psychology from Temple University.

Kathy Donovan
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Kathy Donovan has more than 25 years of financial experience in a variety of companies and positions. Prior to joining Catapult Learning, Kathy served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of MedQuist Inc, a NASDAQ listed medical transcription company. Prior to MedQuist, Kathy held a number of positions with Dendrite International including Vice President and Corporate Controller, Vice President and Treasurer and, most recently, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. She holds a BS in Finance from Georgetown University.

Anthony L. Manley
Chief Operating Officer

Anthony Manley joined Catapult Learning from Kaplan, Inc., where he most recently held the position of General Manager of its K-12 and Pre-College business unit. Anthony spent more than eight years with the company, serving in numerous senior management roles and leading businesses that supported schools and helped students to achieve their educational goals. Prior to joining Kaplan, Inc., Anthony worked for Columbia University’s Teachers College, where he helped pioneer web-based professional development and support for teachers.  Anthony holds a BA from Fordham University.

Seppy Basili
Senior Vice President, School Turnaround

Prior to joining Catapult Learning, Seppy Basili served as Chief Academic Officer of the International Center for Leadership in Education, a subsidiary of Scholastic, managing all professional development and consulting.  Prior to Scholastic, Seppy guided strategy and product development for Kaplan K-12 Learning Services, helping to design and deliver high quality instructional programs and complex service offerings to hundreds of school districts nationwide.  A 25-year veteran of the education industry, Basili also served as executive director of Kaplan Pre-College Programs, overseeing Kaplan’s test preparation programs and publications for the SAT, ACT, and PSAT as well as Director of Research at Renaissance Learning Institute.  Seppy received a BA from Kenyon College, an MA in Education from the University of California at Berkeley, and a JD from Emory University.
